Judas Iscariot is a minor character in Billy Bat. He is based on real figure from Christianity of Judas, which is known for being one of the apostles of Jesus Christ, and eventually the one who sold him off to Roman soldiers, which led to the latter's death on the cross.
He is one of Simpletons -- rare person who is able to make contact with entity of Billy Bat. More over, he is only known Simpleton to be able to see the bat's both Black Bat and White Bat personas at the same time.
Appearance[]
Judas is thin man with dark hair and beard. Although their color is not specified, it's presumably red, as Judas tends to be potrayed with red hair. He usually wears dark colored robe.
Personality[]
As a kid, he seems to be curious of the world and kind child, which is indicated when brought a bread to a stranger he encountered.
As an adult, he is very pious man, as he decided to dedicate his life to following the one whom he believed to be a Messiah. He is easily manipulated by the Bat, as shown when the latter used him to crucify Jesus.
History[]
At some point in his childhood, Judas became aware of the existence of Billy Bat, and came in contant with him. Later, he became acquainted with unnamed man, who had betrayed his friend and master -- claiming to be a Messiah -- for money. Judas draws a silthouette of Billy on the ground while listening to the man's story, whom the latter recognized as what he believed to be a shape of the God.
After returning home, Black and White Bats told Judas that the executed man was not a Messiah, and that the Messiah would appear later. They couldn't agree whether they're God and claim that it's up to Judas to decide.
Some time later, as an adult, Judas witnessed Jesus healing old man's leg. He approached him and asked what is the shape of the God. Jesus draws the shape of the bat. Judas recognized the Jesus as the Messiah and join him on his journeys.
As Judas was travelling, Billy was repeatedly telling him to betray Jesus.
At some point during their travels, Jesus and his apostles reached the Jerulasem temple. Jesus swept out the merchant who hung out around the temple, which lead to Roman soldiers starting pursuing him. Jesus recognized that Judas was about to sold him off and encouraged his disciple to do so. The latter would latter identify his teacher by kissing him on the cheek.
Before his death, Jesus told Judas that this is the part of the God's plan, and revealed that the shape of the God is not Billy Bat -- he simply drew the picture from Judas's mind. As Judas despair over betraying his friend with young boy sitting next to him -- mirroring the encounter from his childhood -- The Bat appears and reveals that Judas have been deceived by him into fulfilling his plan.
